ABOUT MATTMinistryMatt Lybarger’s ministry is driven by the convictionoving that God is a social God, who enters into authentic, give-and-take relationships with men and women. Therefore, in light of who God is, and because humans are created “in the image of God,” it is vital for all people to view themselves as social creatures.  We live in society, we worship in a social setting, and we are to minister within the social community around us.  Rather than viewing Christianity as a “counter-culture,” or “sub-culture,” Matt challenges people to engage their culture as Christ did the culture of first century Palestine.  He believes only then will the universal church of Jesus Christ truely reflect the savior who mystically transforms the hearts of fallen humanity. OccupationMatt Lybarger is the Lead Pastor at Mosaic Xn .  Matt helped plant this church in 2008 after serving another church-plant for 4 yrs.  Mosaic promotes unity among Christians and emphasizes God’s love for mankind which was ultimately demonstrated when He became incarnate, lived a sinless life and died toreconcile mankind to Himself.It is important to note, however, that Christian unity is not meant to imply a single system of beliefs to which all must lend mental assent, but rather a fellowship of people whose sanctified thoughts, experiences, and traditions all reflect aspects of the Divine.  It is a fellowship of believers centered in Christ’s ultimate attribute and being – love.Matt also serves as a chaplain, along with some other great pastors from the Everett area, for the Everett Police Deptartment. EducationMatt Lybarger received a BA in Ministry Leadership from Northwest University (Summa Cum Laude, 2005), and an MCS in theology from Regent College (2009).  He is currently applying for PhD studies.
